THE STREET CLEANER SCREENS TWICE AS AN OFFICIAL SELECTION OF THE BOSTON FILM FESTIVAL!
On September 16 and 17, 2007, THE STREET CLEANER played to captivated audiences at the Boston Film Festival! Nathaniel headed to Boston alone as our point man on the ground fielding the Q&A session after the film, meeting other filmmakers, and talking about our movie in general to whoever would listen.
A few years ago Nathaniel worked as a TV news photographer at the Fox station in Boston. There, he followed a gruesome case involving a serial killer. Drug-addicted prostitutes were disappearing from the streets of nearby Worcester, MA. Some of their bodies eventually turned up as far away as Maine. He started playing "what if," and the concept for THE STREET CLEANER was born.
In the movie, set in Savannah's Historic District, prostitutes are also disappearing from the streets. As police hunt for a serial killer, the local media fuels the city's fear. Jamie, a heroin-addicted streetwalker, doesn't imagine that she could be next.
Perpombellar Productions is a digital film studio located in Savannah, Georgia. For this project, Eric Nauert acted as Executive Producer, Jody Schiesser as Producer, and Nathaniel Nauert as Director.
