WINS TWO BEST FILM AWARDS AND BEST TOPIC AT THE 2007 HILTON HEAD "SHORTS AT THE BEACH" FILM FESTIVAL!
On May 13, 2007, Perpombellar Productions swept the awards for Coligny Theatre's "Shorts at the Beach" Film Festival in Hilton Head, South Carolina with their film THE STREET CLEANER. THE STREET CLEANER won the "Shortie" award for People's Choice Best Topic, for People's Choice Best Film, and also Judges Choice for Best Film. THE STREET CLEANER is a short film by Perpombellar Productions, a digital film studio located in Savannah, Georgia. In the movie, prostitutes are disappearing from Savannah's Historic District. As police hunt for a serial killer, the local media fuels the city's fear. Jamie, a heroin-addicted streetwalker, doesn't imagine that she could be next. Eric Nauert is Executive Producer, Jody Schiesser is Producer, and Nathaniel Nauert is Director. The "Shorts at the Beach" screening was the Premiere for the film. Next up, Atlanta!
As you can imagine, all of us involved in the making of the THE STREET CLEANER are incredibly thrilled at such early success.

This Saturday at 2:00 pm is the first showing of our film THE STREET CLEANER. We hope to see many of you there!
THE STREET CLEANER plays this Saturday at the "Shorts at the Beach" festival at Coligny Theatre on Hilton Head. The festival runs through the weekend, kicking off Friday with a Premiere Party at 7:00 pm. Saturday there are films all day, starting at 10am. Sunday is the Awards Bash, beginning at 4:30pm. The festival has both juried awards and an audience appreciation award.
We'll be kicking off the 2pm block of films.

Admission is $10 per block of films or $20 for the entire weekend's events.
THE STREET CLEANER takes places mostly in Savannah with some elements filmed in Saluda, NC. Our actors and crew are from around the region. Filming the two locales was a pleasure as everyone we interacted with was helpful and excited about filmmaking. The Sanitation Department and Savannah's real street cleaners in particular went out of their way to provide whatever we asked for. Savannah is so rich with story—from its beauty, the Victorian homes, the Spanish moss, the shadows, and its stoney, viny, eccentric wildness. It's no wonder we've made the first of many films here.
