A 'LONG OVERDUE' NIGHT OF SHORT FILM IN SAVANNAH
Billed as "Cindigenous" this community event—the first of its kind—is a joint venture between The Jepson and the Savannah Film Commission, both of whom hope that spotlighting budding local cinematic talent like Perpombellar Productions will lead to the funding of future projects by talented Savannah area filmmakers.
Jim Reed, Connect Savannah

JEPSON FILM EVENT FIRST SAVANNAH SCREENING FOR LOCAL PROJECTS
Savannah Film Commissioner Jay Self said it's important for Savannahians to realize how many filmmakers have set down roots and made award-winning productions in Savannah; this despite a relative lack of funding sources, or the convenience of working in a major city like Los Angeles or New York.
Joel Weickgenant, Savannah Morning News

"THE STREET CLEANER is mostly set in Savannah, which in the film is by turns gritty and gorgeous, seedy and stunning, fun and dangerous. That's the Savannah I know. A tight drama about missing prostitutes, drug addiction and redemption, THE STREET CLEANER should prove a perfect stepping stone to Perpombellar's first feature, TRUMPET MY RETURN, which is now in pre-production."
Savannah Morning News, Man About Town with Bill Dawers

"The originality of Director Nathanial Nauert's story and intensity of his direction, compounded with Bill Obertst, Jr.'s and Karry McLean's strong acting, come together to produce an emotional, thought-provoking film in The Street Cleaner, deserving of the 2007 Dixie Film Festival's Mason Dixon award for the best submitted short film produced in Georgia."
Creative Loafing Atlanta, Film Review: The Street Cleaner

The Street Cleaner is "Another early office favorite--in part because the movie reviewers from our sister paper, the Sun in Santa Maria made it—The Street Cleaner is a classic tale of prostitutes disappearing from Savannah, Georgia. Or is it? The heroine, Jamie, is a young prostitute, addicted to heroine, and very clearly marked as the next victim. What happens next, and how the clever tale unfolds is up to you to learn for yourself but you can be sure that it is a story you have not seen or heard before, even if you think you have at the beginning."
San Luis Obispo's New Times

"A Jack the Ripper of modern times, it definitely goes into a more unexpected and different path."
Arts à la Mode, Charlotte Film Festival 2007 Reviews

"THE STREET CLEANER is a locally-made suspense short that weaves a bizarre tale of sin, sex, and abduction—with a healthy dose of redemption."
The South Magazine, Clean Sweep Feature

"Creatively you have really got a class act going."
James Best, aka Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane from The Dukes of Hazzard

"It's amazing what filmmakers can do with sheer determination, a vision and a decent script."
NC Flix, Charlotte Film Festival Does Boffo 2nd Year

"The film hints of the intensity of a David Mamet script and the grizzly suspense of the Coen brothers, with a little Robert Altman gothic in the mix."
Connect Savannah, Here and Now by Robin Gunn

In April 2007, Bill Oberst, Jr., star of THE STREET CLEANER, played General William T. Sherman on the History Channel's highest-rated documentary ever, SHERMAN'S MARCH. Over 5 million viewers saw the program on it's initial run. Bill worked with us just before his gig as the General. In fact, he was growing a beard that we had to write into the script.
"Oberst is splendid as Sherman." — The Wall Street Journal
